Purpose of Operation:

To thoroughly remove dust, oil contamination, salt-spray crystallization, metal debris, accumulated ash, and various corrosive contaminants adhering to the outer surfaces of conductive rods; to eliminate safety hazards such as insulation degradation, surface flashover, equipment corrosion, and poor contact caused by surface contamination; to restore the appearance cleanliness and insulation performance of busbar equipment; to ensure the long-term safe, stable, and full-load operation of GIS/enclosed busbar equipment; and to meet the standardized requirements for power equipment operation and maintenance.

Scope of Application:
This scheme is applicable to de-energized high-pressure water cleaning operations for various enclosed busbars in substations and power plants, GIS busbar enclosure shells, and inner
conductive rod outer surfaces. It covers all working conditions including routine operation and maintenance cleaning, post-overhaul cleaning, and annual preventive cleaning. It is not applicable to live-line cleaning operations.

Equipment Overview:
The cleaning system employs a high-pressure pump unit driven by a 90 kW motor, with an output pressure of 50 MPa (500 bar) and a flow rate of 85 LPM. It is specifically designed for dual-station cleaning of conductor outer surfaces.
The motor-driven high-pressure pump pressurizes ordinary water to 50 MPa, which is then delivered through piping to the nozzles, utilizing the impact force of high-speed water jets to strip away contaminants.

Cleaning Procedure:
(1) Use the existing electric hoist in the workshop to place the busbar conductor onto the cleaning device.
(2) According to the type and dimensions of the conductor to be cleaned, adjust the distance between the cleaning nozzles—located above and on both left and right sides of the fixed frame—and the conductor.
(3) Turn on the cleaning pump, set the appropriate parameters, adjust the conveyor belt speed, and start the conveyor belt.
(4) After cleaning is completed, use a light-duty crane to unload the busbar conductor.
(5) Cleaning speed: adjustable from 0.5 to 3 m/min; workpiece dimensions: diameter 80–250 mm, length 3000–15000 mm.
